![]() Again, only use the 10mm on bosses and robots. Only tranq when you know you cant sneak past someone, the ammo for this is very limited. after that, again be very conservative with your ammo. Sneak/takedown/dart past the other enemies, farm the 10mm ammo but dont use it until the very first boss fight against barret. ![]() Nonlethal the very first guy, take his 10mm. Eh, not a big fan of it but the ammo is everywhere so it's not like you'll ever run out. Tranq headshots still kill, so sniper is just a nerfed tranq.ġ0mm for scuffles. Tranq could be the first weapon you ever use, but you dont get a sniper till halfway through the game.Īll in all too many limits. ![]() Sniper is way to loud for a stealth weapon. It's silent, it's extremely accurate, and much better than the sniper. That's why I think the little extra XP is a nice recognition of your ability to do things more stealthy/non-lethally.I am a solid fan of the Tranquilizer Rifle. When attempting that in the aggressive run it felt very easy (and liberating) to just use a sniper and a bunch of grenades and destroy everything on sight. I remember that my hardest obstacle in human revolution was saving Malik in the non-lethal+stealth run - It was nearly impossible, but somehow managed to be cloaked and do multiple silent takedowns until the last man (robot in that case) was standing. When I did the 'shoot everything on sight' run, I didn't even aim for head shots - You just need to really clean up places (loot and people) and upgrade your strength to let you carry more weapons and ammo as you maw down the (usually not so smart) opposition. You still find all the secrets and get all the loot in both runs, though getting everything in the non-lethal run is sometimes a pain, and takes a lot more time and effort. I do think it is well balanced they way it is (XP wise). I did a full 'gun blazing' run, as well as a full stealth / non-lethal run - The non-lethal run was definitely much harder, even with the extra XP (it's really not that much of an extra XP anyway, maybe will get you an extra Praxis or two for the entire run). I'd argue that it's also a lot easier than going full guns-blazing, since the more you sneak, the more enemies you can murder before anybody actually shoots back, so with a bit of care you take much less damage. Taking this road is *easier* than trying to go non-lethal, because you never have to worry that an enemy is only temporarily out of action or taking pains to ensure that some unconscious enemy won't be killed somehow else, and headshots with the Zenith w/ AP mod are extremely effective at a range that's good enough for almost every map in the game. careful, low-risk, lethal, willing to shoot your way out when there's an alarm but not just waltzing in guns blazing when you can quietly murder. You don't really *need* a lot of augs if you're patiently headshotting things, IIRC, and you're being expedient - i.e. Typhoon can trivialize boss fights but is a total luxury, the immunities to gas etc. The extra battery mods aren't amazingly useful that much unless you're willing to feast on candy because only the final one recharged anyway if you went on a serial takedown spree - and if you're willing to headshot with the Zenith, you have much less need for takedowns than you would if you're planning to knock people unconscious and then drag them into wherever before others can notice. ![]() Hacking is useful, as is extra jump height. You want your Zenith with the hilariously effective AP mod, the revolver with the mod that adds the "Perfectly Normal Ammo Explodes On Hit" magic to deal with robots, the odd EMP mine for the same reason, cloaking, the eye aug, the smash-through-wall aug is sort of nice. Originally posted by renboy:Also, to kill someone only takes weapons and ammo, which do not require XP and augs - But to be an effective stealth killer needs a lot of stealth augs (at least in human revolution, not sure about this game).Įh.
